🎙️ #MyBmore: What’s The 410? | Featuring Tiffany Johnson, Principal of Collington Square Elementary/Middle School
In this episode, we sit down with Principal Tiffany Johnson — a longtime Baltimore City educator and the leader of Collington Square Elementary/Middle School in East Baltimore.
For more than two decades, Tiffany has stood in the gap for Baltimore’s young people, and today at Collington Square she is restoring something deeper than academics: belief in the children, their families, and what’s possible.
She opens up about:
🔸 How her early years as a special education teacher shaped her calling
🔸 The realities educators face that policymakers often don’t see
🔸 Why culture, identity, and community partnerships are essential to student success
🔸 The leadership decisions that prioritize safety, accountability, and dignity — even when metrics don’t tell the full story
We kick things off with “They 8 (Ate)” — our rapid-fire round where Tiffany answers everything from crab cakes fried or broiled to the one word that defines East Baltimore.
